I have always loved using my hands to create. From the age of seven, I have carried a pocket knife, readily available to turn any small piece of wood into something.
Retirement has allowed me a great opportunity to ‘play’ in my shop in Almonte. I love bringing out the natural beauty of wood, preferring a rustic look, but making everything functional as well.
Local outings include searching for sticks, branches, specially shaped saplings for sturdy walking and fighting sticks. Family and friends often bring me different kinds of wood which I enjoy introducing into my creations.
I also make walking canes, back scratchers, shoe horns, and bird houses.
